Carl catches what the pitchers throw and throws the ball back. This is super important because otherwise the balls thrown would go to the backstop and the games would last a lot longer.
Update: Carl is from Edina. Carl plays "Moneyball". All he does is walk. Get it? Nope? OK! Great dude, Carl is kind of the victim of misfortune. His JUCO teams seaons went long (NIACC, good for them). We had a catcher return, unexpectedly, so Carl has become part of a three-man rotation...as a catcher. Weird, we know. That being said, the first league game he ever caught, he called a no-hitter. Chew on that for a bit....Future's so bright, he's got to wear shades...
Update 2: Carl has been an awesome teammate. A grinder and a gamer. He fits into our "fun" culture. He tries really hard to have nice hair, and it's decent, but it's not quite up to Edina hair.
