Spence came to us straight outta the press box. He was running the Parade scoreboard and saw a former Augsburg teammate (Schmahl) playing for us and said "Hey, can I play?" Left-handed pitchers are notoriously weird. Spence is also a former Marine. Every now and again we have to take him away from eating crayons to get him on the mound, but we love pitchers. We love the military. We love Spence.
